Ease of Manufacturing

Another important advantage of the Scuderi Engine is that it would be easy to manufacture in large quantities. Previously proposed new engine designs, for example the Wankel Rotary engine, involved exotic components and unique materials that necessitated a great deal of expensive retooling and/or redesign of an automotive production line.

It was an important design criteria of the Scuderi Engine to utilize the same basic structural components (pistons, connecting rods, poppet valves, etc.) of a standard four-stroke engine. Therefore no major retooling will be required to mass-produce the Scuderi Engine.

The final report of the Southwest Research Institutes' computerized study is available upon request, provided the requesting party signs a non-disclosure agreement with the Scuderi Group, LLC.
